Table Design




My dining table design consists of two pentagons merged at their points. I find the pentagon a geometrically strong shape, with clear direction; the pentagon identifies a dominant side with a point on the opposite side, this implies direction.

In the pictures above and the videos below, I have identified two scenarios. The first, a board meeting or business lunch. Slim and Yin sit opposite each other, with the associates sitting on either side, promoting their status and power.

The second scenario is a more intimate arrangement. Slim and Yin again sit opposite each other, but this time at the center of the table; they are a lot closer for a friendlier meeting, or lunch.
